I don’t own the Series #3 Ionic Detox Foot Spa, but I’ve been going to a friend of mine, a reflexoligist, who owns one and taking 30 minute foot baths. I started out doing it once a week, but changed it to twice a week because the help of the foot bath would wear off before the week ended and I wanted to feel good longer. The recommended treatment cycle is every other day for people under 50 and every third day for people over 50. It is recommended that you only do 14 treatments at a time, with a 2 week rest period before starting the next 14 treatments.

Basically, what happens it that I sit my feet in a tub of water, a bracelet thingy is placed on my wrist to ground me, an array is placed in the water with me and salt is sprinkled in the water. (When my friend sprinkles the water with salt I always have the image of a cannibal getting her supper ready.) An array is a gadget that sends determined and negative alternately to the water; which draws out toxins in the body. When the toxins are released; it changes the color of the water. Each color represents a different area.

When the water turns: black it is pulling toxins from the liver ; brown it is pulling toxins from liver and getting rid of cellular debris; dusky green is pulling toxins from the gall bladder; orange is pulling toxins from the joints; yellow-green is pulling toxins from kidney, bladder and prostate. Not only does the water change color, but it can own flecks, foam or curd looking things that float in the water. If there is red flecks that represents blood clots; dismal flecks represent heavy metals; white foam shows that toxins are being released from the lymphatic system; and the white curds exhibit a presence of yeast.

In the beginning my water always changed to orange and had flecks of red and black. By the 5th or 6th foot bath I really began to feel the effects. My joints felt freer like someone had oiled my joints so they would move smoother. I’ve had ten foot baths as of today and I feel good, no accomplish that GREAT!!!! I can walk up and down stairs without holding on the rails; which seems like a miracle in itself for me. My latest trick is to get up from a sitting position without pulling on something or bracing myself. I can get up and down from a chair without any problems.

There is so much joy in my life now. I only have one complaint: my energy level is far stronger than my muscles’ ability to preserve up. I have years of not being able to recede freely which caused my muscles to weaken and it will hold a little while to effect up my muscles so I can keep up with my energy level. It feels wonderful be able to go get the paper out of the printer at the time I printed it instead of waiting until I had several reasons to get up or until someone brought it to me. I’m getting up out of my chair and walking around objective for the pure joy of it. Do you need something? I’ll go obtain it for you.

Last week, I visited my rheumatologist, it was an appointment I made three months earlier. I no longer needed the appointment, but decided to go just to see what he would say. It was a silly experience. When the doctor walked it he asked me the usual request “How are you? ” I answered, “Great!!!” He had to ask me three times because my answer just didn’t compute for him.

Then he asked about refills and I let him know that I’m no longer need prescriptions filled because I stopped taking my muscle relaxants and the sleeping pills and I’m not taking the arthritis strength Tylenols either. He was more than a little surprised. He tested my joints and found that I do not need him any longer. I did tell him about the foot baths and am going to send him a brochure about it. He thought it was great that I found something that worked for me even though it was an alternative method.

But many others only focus on taking herbal supplements during the purification process.

The introductory stage of a detox diet which is the first one to three days usually begins with a liquid diet. For the succeeding four to five days, add brown rice, steamed vegetables, and fruit that are all organic to your diet is advised. After one week of eating these foods, you should then gradually reintroduce certain foods except for wheat, red meat, eggs, sugar, and junk food back to your diet.

People who are on a detox diet are advised to chew their foods thoroughly, drink only a small amount of water while eating, and also to relax before eating. It is also good if you add lemon juice after every meal to help to boost the detoxification process.
